On 18 September OPAL celebrated the opening of its new warehouse and offices in Darvel, East Ayrshire, with an Open Afternoon and a Thanksgiving Service. There was an excellent attendance, and visitors were able to see in the warehouse pallets of Bibles and books being prepared for shipment to Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia and Ethiopia. The event was commemorated with a special cake made by a kind supporter representing OPAL’s global work in providing evangelical literature for the Majority World. In the evening a Thanksgiving Service was held in Townhead Church, Newmilns, at which Ian Burness, chair of the OPAL board of trustees, spoke on 2 Timothy 4, 1-5 and challenged us to continue to fulfil the Great Commission by getting Bibles and evangelical books to those in most need. The day was a great blessing and encouragement to all those involved.
